Reality Trumps Aspiration

Remember that time when I talked about hand-stitching a quilt? Remember how determined I was to accomplish said task? Things have changed. Now I'm more determined to finish the quilt with my sanity intact. I bought a sewing machine. Hopefully I'll have this finished before next year!

Don't get me wrong, I still believe that I could finish that quilt by hand. Unfortunately this project was turning out to be a stressful deadline situation, and I was losing my motivation to do it with the thoughts of how much time it was going to take. So, screw it, I bought a machine.

Congrats on getting your new sewing machine! Don't feel too bad about not being able to get it done in time by hand. I heard from more than one experienced quilters who said that would be an ambitious project even for them!

I'm online, firewall protected, but still don't have my AV. Talked to our ISP who is sending us a good one we can load while offline, so disregard my query for Nick, 'kay? Til that arrives (hopefully Thursday). I'll probably be corresponding mostly via the internet rather than email.

Kim,

I was getting a bit worried about your mom. I know that they got a new computer and were waiting for a virus protection but it has been several days since she posted on her blog or TOH so thought I would just check in with to and make sure everything is ok!

Thank you!

hugs,
Marcia
